It's been a while since I've told you what I'm reading. Like most other YA readers I finished up The Hunger Games trilogy. I also read Cassandra Clare's Clockwork Angel. I really liked it. It has a bit of a different flavor and writing style than the Mortal Instruments trilogy. I'm excited to see what's next for Tessa. And in case you've read it and are wondering, I'm Team Jem. (Not what I would have expected.)
I read Friend Is Not A Verb, Audrey Wait!, and Wild Roses in the mean time as well. I liked all three a lot. It was my first experience reading any of those authors which is sometimes a challenge for me. But seriously, I've really got to get better at updating Goodreads so I remember what all these books were about!
I've just started my newest purchase, Zombies vs. Unicorns. I love it so far. The 2 shorts stories I have read were good, but the running commentary by the editors between the stories have made a great addition to the collection! I've also got Holly Black's Tithe new from the bookstore.
The other title on my to read in the super-near future list is The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks. It's the first book for our YA Book Club! What a great excuse to reread that book :) I'm going to try and keep you better up to date. I promise. :)

I'm almost finished with Clockwork Angel finally! I hope to be done tonight. And unless something drastic happens in the last couple of chapters, then I am all for Jem too. I don't normally pick a team. And I can't bring myself to say "I'm Team Jem." But I am REALLY rootin' for him. Which is basically the same thing.

Frankie is the best. I have an autographed copy and I'm so happy about it because it is such a well written and interesting book...do you think I could just magically travel to you and be in your bookclub? Not just for this book, but for always? I still can't find one here....sad.

@Autumn I don't usually like the terms "team whatever" either, but it seems to be the easiest way to describe it. I don't think I was Team Jem the whole book, but the end really sealed the deal for me. And yay for staff picks!!

If not, I can at least keep you updated on what we read. I have a feeling the first few books will be things you've read since...they'll probably be my suggestions ;)
As for ZvU, I am totally a zombie fan. How can you not with those authors on the zombie side?? Though, the unicorn stories have been decent too. I'm just 3 1/2 stories in, so not too much ahead of you.
