Oh My Goodness...what a week! I spent this week traveling and working. Oh, and sleeping in there somewhere. Well, for a few hours anyway. Most of my kick ass week revolves around Omaha so I'll start with my non-Omaha moment.

Omaha stuff! I spent the weekend in Omaha with John (and Holly), Justin, Gretchen, and Autumn! I had a blast spending the weekend with old and new friends. It was a really rejuvenating weekend. I came back Monday feeling totally well-rested and ready for the week.

- surviving my history class- Long story short, I managed to find myself in a situation where I gave a presentation on Malcolm X to a history class. That wasn't the tough part, the worst part was letting them grade me. I purposely did some things wrong and hoped that I did some things well. Putting myself out there is tough! But I really think they got why I did what I did, and so did the prof!!

- meeting Autumn!!- after meeting online during the Blog Every Day in April challenge, Autumn and I finally met face-to-face. (We took a picture to prove it.) Now that we've done it. I think it's a bit cruel that we don't live closer together. :( We had so much fun together, just hanging out, getting lost in Omaha, drinking coffee, and eating...there was much eating (see below!) I'm really glad that next weekend we get to hang out more when we see RENT.
- hanging out with college friends- there is just something about Cornell alums. When we hang out, it's just always awesome. We ended up playing tipsy 4-square (a tradition), Wii trivia games, a game of bananagrams, and actor-movie-actor. It was so much fun to just chill out, reminisce, vent/share about jobs and life in general. Also there was hugging, singing, cuddling, and lots of eating!
- the food in Omaha- We ate at a Kona Grill (pan-asian), a burger joint featured on Food Network, and a breakfast place that had like 10 pages of menu and the food was like heaven. Ask Autumn or Gretchen if you don't believe me about the food. Oh, and there was plates of candy at John's.
- external hard drive- John took my old laptop (thought dead), and pulled out the hard drive, salvaged all the music and photos on it, and turned it into an external hard drive! Amazing no?? Like I said before, I have awesome friends!!
Your weekend was more fun than mine I think, though I did have a good one (and I'm not complaining about my food- homemade chorizo empanadas and tortilla soup? no ma'am no complaints from me!) Soooo jealous about you and Autumn though!
ReplyDeleteThat is actually a decent picture of us! I had so much fun too. And you need to e-mail me copies of those photos of us!
