This has been a long month. I managed to post something each and every day, but for some reason this month it seemed more like a chore. The first 2 weeks seemed to fly by, but by week 3 I'd really lost steam. And I sort of feel like I phoned in week 4. I didn't realize quite how crazy busy I was going to be this month. Being without internet for a weekend, pulling extra evening reference shifts, and not sleeping well most of the month (no idea why) did not lend itself to witty, well-thought out blog posts. I'm really glad I did it again this year, if only to push myself to write more frequently. I think I'll go back and do some of the prompts that I missed.
The writing was tougher than it was last year, but I really loved reading everyone's posts this time around. I'm rather behind on some of them. There are simply too many blogs to read everyday! A great problem to have. I hope some of you continue to flex your blogging fingers with me for the rest of the year, though I'm going back to my three times a week goal. Hopefully this month will pull me out of my "last 3 days of the week" blogging rut. Poor Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays deserve fun posts too.
I hope you all had at least a little fun reading my semi-coherent, not always terribly on topic posts for the last 30 days. I cannot believe tomorrow is May 1, and 2011 is officially a third complete. Wow. May will be quite crazy for me as well, but a good crazy. Thanks for a great month BEDA people. I hope to see you on the flipside!

It's a shame we've all been so busy this month - it seems like none of us had as much energy to put into BEDA as we did the last couple of years. We definitely had more collective focus when we were all on Twitter cheering each other on every day! I've enjoyed reading your posts, though, and am looking forward to reading and writing more throughout the year!
ReplyDeleteGood job Becky. I agree with you that BEDA was hard this year (if you couldn't tell already by how infrequently I posted). Like you, I'm probably going to still do some of the daily themes I missed out on. I was looking forward to rewriting the ending of a movie. Definitely going to do that one. From here on, I'm going to follow your lead (because you have a huge influence on me) and try to post three times a week.
ReplyDeleteThanks for doing such a good job with BEDA, Becky! The topics were really helpful when I was stuck.
