Hi again.
This time it's Becky in reverse. A chance to see who I am through my friends. Amy has requested I play the 2 facts game for them. I'm taking the challenge and adding a twist.
Amy: is caring and thoughtful person. She would randomly leave notes or send cards for no reason other than to make me smile :)
Gretchen: is one of the bravest people I know. She moved to Barcelona for a year without knowing a soul (brave) and then moved back to the States to a city of 8,000 where she didn't know a soul (braver).
Emily: is passionate and energetic about her interests. She's the only girl I know who can match my enthusiasm for men's basketball. Overtime games were always a treat with us.
John: is fiercely loyal. He will argue on your behalf until he's blue in the face.
Manda: is the most creative and imaginative person I know. She plans to write a kids' book some day, and I know that she will!
My parents: are absolutely adorably in love and have shown me what love is supposed to look like.
Friends: The Beginning
A quick story on how I met each of my friends (Sorry Manda and Mom and Dad!)
Amy: was the random-ish roommate I picked from the 8 or so responses I get to a roommate-wanted ad through my graduate school. I picked her because she went to a small college, had the same major, and liked Gilmore Girls :)
Gretchen: was the randomly assigned roommate from my freshman year. We'd never met before, but ended up rooming together all through college. (Expect when she was in Bolivia, when I withered away to nothing.)
Emily: and I met when I convinced her to be in my group for a class project, then invited myself to a book reading with her. When I found out she was a b-ball fan, the rest was history.
John: was a resident of the all guy dorm his freshman year. I met him when my friend drug me along when she went cruising for boys. John and I really bonded when we served on Student Senate together.
