- Black bean hummus- Ok so it's not officially hummus, (no tahini) but it is fabulous. This newest batch isn't quite as good as when I had Katie here to taste test and adjust. Somehow she got the seasoning just right. A yummy lunch for me either way.
- cute outfits- I've been rocking some pretty darn adorable outfits this week. The one set out for tomorrow is too cute. My new black dress, red 3/4 sleeve cardigan and my black and white polka dotted canvas flats with red trim and bow. :) Not sure how long I can keep this up.
- any shopping that requires me to visit Hobby Lobby, Borders, and Michael's all in the same day- I'd explain more, but some of the people who will be recipients of the shopping read this. So I won't. But I will later when the gifts have been delivered.
- An Abundance of Katherines- I love this book. I especially love it on audio. And I really love our Curriculum Librarian for buying it on audio just because I said I loved it. That's why it's now in my possession and I'm listening to it for the at least 6th time. I love it so much I used to have it on my ipod/itunes and listen to it on random and try and remember where in the book that section was. Yes, I am a geek.
- planning vacations- the plane tickets to Philadelphia and the Twins-Phillies tickets are purchased already. The rest of it we'll lay out and plan Saturday. I'm excited though. Three days in a city I've never been to before (despite having visited the east coast many times as a kid) with one of my best friends. We're going to have so much fun!
- senior recitals- My friend from Madison is celebrating his completion of med school by giving a senior recital. (Have I mentioned I have odd friends?) He'll be doing his residency in Chicago so as a last hurrah he's singing about an hour long set of church hymns, 19th century, and 20th century music. I'm excited that I'll be able to drive up to Madison and see it next weekend before graduation happens here!
I just solidified plans for this weekend today when it hit me: my April weekends are all over the place, and well so very me. Keeping with my new reality of being around Dubuque much more often than I have in the past, I'll be here for 3 of the 4 weekends. Ok, and by here I mean mostly here. I'll explain below. April 6-7 Julien Dubuque International Film Festival --I went to the festival last year with Gretchen. We had so much fun! We ended up seeing a different set of films than we originally thought, but it was still a blast. I was lucky enough to attend the Beloit International Film Festival with Kyle and his family last month, and this year he's coming down to spend the weekend watching films with me. Plus Nicole will be around for the weekend so she's coming along too! April 13-14 Twins game with Amy--We've got tickets to the Twins-Mets game on Sunday so I'll be driving back up to The Cities (I was just there over St. Patrick's Day weekend). I have...
Probably just needs a little more salt and olive oil. You can never have too much olive oil.
